BP Enters Utica Shale Play In Ohio

BP (BP) has reported that the company has signed a deal with a local landowners group to lease acreage prospective for the Utica Shale. The Associated Landowners of the Ohio Valley represents mineral owners that control 84,000 acres in Trumbull County, Ohio.

BP said that the actual lease terms will be confidential and be negotiated with each individual mineral rights holder.
