CONSOL Energy (NYSE:CNX) reported on its Marcellus Shale operations in southwest Pennsylvania for the third quarter of 2012.
CONSOL Energy finished drilling at the North Nineveh 38 (seven wells) and North Nineveh 41 (eight wells) pads in Greene County and is currently drilling at the North Nineveh 39 (six wells) and North Nineveh 42 (five wells) pads. The company expects to start completion operations here before the end of 2012. Other southwest Pennsylvania results include:
Morris 14 pad – three wells – initial production rates from 4.2 million to 9.5 million cubic feet per day.
Morris 10 pad – six wells - initial production rates from 8.4 million to 15.3 million cubic feet per day.
Morris 17 pad – three wells - initial production rates from 7 million to 8 million cubic feet per day.
CONSOL Energy said that the 15.3 million cubic feet per day production rate from the Morris 10D well was a record Marcellus Shale well for southwest Pennsylvania.
