Southwestern Energy (SWN) issued an operational update on its Marcellus Shale activity during the third quarter of 2011. The company is currently producing 110 million cubic feet of natural gas per day (gross) and is restricting production due to lack of pipeline infrastructure.
Southwestern Energy has drilled a total of forty Marcellus Shale wells since entering the play, and has put eighteen of these wells onto production as of 9/30/2011. All of these wells are located in the Greenzweig area in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
Southwestern Energy reported total Marcellus Shale production of 7.4 Bcf in the most recent quarter and 15.2 Bcf in the nine month period ending 9/30/2011.
Southwestern Energy is currently working on a five well pad in Bradford County and expects to put these wells onto production in November 2011. The company also reported that the Ball Myer 1H well is currently producing 8.2 million cubic feet of natural gas while under a restricted choke.
