Goodrich Petroleum Corporation (GDP) issued an operations update on its development activities in the Haynesville Shale in Texas. The company is developing acreage in the Shelby Trough in Texas, and has assembled 28,000 net acres in the play. Most of this acreage is in the Angelina River Trend.
Goodrich Petroleum Corporation reported the completion of the S.W. Henderson No. 1H well located in the Angelina River Trend in Angelina County, Texas. The S.W. Henderson No. 1H well was drilled with a 4100 foot lateral and produced 21 million cubic feet per day of natural gas during a 24 hour period.
Goodrich Petroleum Corporation plans to start drilling the Nelson 1H well, the company’s second well into the Angelina River Trend, in November 2010. The company will also complete the R. Dean No. 1H well, the company’s first well in the Joaquin area of the Shelby Trough in Texas.
