Cabot Oil and Gas (COG) reported the completion of a horizontal well in the Haynesville Shale in St. Augustine County, Texas.
Cabot Oil and Gas said that the King G.U. #1 is currently producing at 19 million cubic feet per day of natural gas. The King G.U. #1 was completed with 14 hydraulic fracturing stages and a 4,487-foot lateral.
Cabot Oil and Gas said that the company is participating in 12 other wells in the Haynesville Shale in 2010. The company said it would have news on three of these wells in the Haynesville Shale during the second quarter of 2010.
