The Greenwood Waskom/Metcalf Fields are located in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. During the first quarter of 2010, Goodrich Petroleum drilled and completed the Wayne Bryan 3H-1, the company’s second horizontal well into the Haynesville Shale in this area.

The well had an initial production rate of 17 million cubic feet equivalent per day. Goodrich Petroleum is currently completing the Wayne Bryan 4H-1, and should have results during the second quarter of 2010.

The Bethany Longstreet Field is located in DeSoto and Caddo Parish in Louisiana. During the first quarter of 2010, the company drilled 10 gross, or 3 net wells into the Haynesville Shale.

Goodrich Petroleum is operating 3 rigs on its joint venture acreage with Chesapeake Energy (CHK), and completed 7 wells.

Goodrich Petroleum said that on its non joint venture acreage, the company drilled and completed the Garland 24H-1 well into the Haynesville Shale. The well had an initial production rate of 14.5 million cubic feet equivalent per day.

Goodrich Petroleum Reports Increase In Haynesville Shale Reserves

Goodrich Petroleum Corporation (GDP) reported proved oil and natural gas reserves of 420.6 billion cubic feet equivalent (Bcfe) as of 12/31/2009, driven by its development of its Haynesville Shale properties.

Goodrich Petroleum booked 180.1 Bcfe of proved reserves in the Haynesville Shale in 2009. The company utilized an average gross estimated ultimate recovery (EUR) per horizontal well of 6.5 Bcfe of proved reserves.
