I recently came across a new documentary being made about the Haynesville Shale and the sudden impact that it had on the residents in North Louisiana. I am not sure if it will be released in theaters, but here's a trailer for the film that I found at Gary Golden's blog.
The web site for Gregory Kallenberg, the filmmaker, is located here. The film focuses on the lives of three individuals who were impacted by the discovery:
"What started as an interest in personal stories about who’s winning and losing in the gas play has grown into an examination of where the Haynesville Shale fits into the global energy crunch."
Hello. Thanks for posting the trailer to "Haynesville"! You guys are awesome.
Currently, we are exploring how to launch "Haynesville" to the public. The traditional path is go the festival route and hope to come up with a distributor. That said, the huge response we've gotten to the trailer and the subject matter (the energy future) is making us think of other ways to roll out the film. Please sign up at the site (www.HaynesvilleMovie.com) and we'll keep you posted. Thanks again.
