Magnum Hunter Resources (MHR) issued an operational update on several wells drilled and completed into the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas. The company has 50,000 net acres located mostly in the counties of Atascosa, Gonzales, and Lavaca.
Gonzo Hunter #1-H
Magnum Hunter Resources previously reported the completion of the Gonzo Hunter #1-H well at an initial production rate of 605 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day. This Eagle Ford Shale well was also producing 412 barrels per day of water.
The Gonzo Hunter #1-H well is currently producing 197 BOE per day and 43 barrels per day of water, and has produced approximately 27,500 BOE total since coming onto production in October 2010. The Gonzo Hunter #1-H well is located in Gonzales County and Magnum Hunter Resources is the operator of the well and owns a 50% working interest.
Gonzo Hunter North #1-H
Magnum Hunter Resources spud the Gonzo Hunter North #1-H well on December 31, 2010, and is drilling at a vertical depth of 9,245 feet. Magnum Hunter Resources is the operator of this Eagle Ford Shale well and owns a 50% working interest.
