Comstock Resources (CRK) reported financial results for the fourth quarter of 2010 and updated investors on its Eagle Ford Shale development program. The company has completed its first three wells into the formation.
The NWR #1H well is located in Atascosa County and produced an initial rate of 381 barrels of oil per day utilizing a restricted choke. The NWR #1H well was drilled to a vertical depth of 8,706 feet with a 5,209 foot lateral.
The Rancho Tres Hijos #1H well was drilled in McMullen County and produced at an initial rate of 432 barrels of oil per day utilizing a restricted choke. The Rancho Tres Hijos #1H well was drilled to a vertical depth of 8,715 feet with a 4,091 foot lateral.
The Coates #1 well is located in Karnes County and was drilled to a vertical depth of 9,706 feet with a 5,422 foot lateral. The Coates #1well is currently flowing back hydraulic fracturing fluid and Comstock Resources did not report production numbers on this Eagle Ford Shale well.
Comstock Resources reported a shallow production decline on both the NWR #1H and Rancho Tres Hijos #1H Eagle Ford Shale wells.
