PetroQuest Energy Reports Two Eagle Ford Shale Completions

PetroQuest Energy (PQ) issued an operations update for the third quarter of 2011and disclosed additional information on the company’s activity in the Eagle Ford Shale.  The company reported the production results of two operated wells recently completed to this formation.

The two wells had twenty four maximum gross daily production rates of 363 and 543 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day.  These Eagle Ford Shale wells are located in LaSalle County, Texas, and were the company’s second and third operated wells into the Eagle Ford Shale.

PetroQuest Energy also participated in two non-operated wells during the third quarter of 2011 and said that these wells were currently flowing back.

PetroQuest Energy Reports Weak Results On First Operated Eagle Ford Shale Well

PetroQuest Energy (PQ) reported the production result of the company’s first operated well into the Eagle Ford Shale.  The well had an initial 24 hour gross daily production rate of 253 barrels of oil. 

PetroQuest Energy said that the well had an “erratic flowback” and the company attempted various methods to maximize production.  The company also said that its second and third operated Eagle Ford Shale wells have reached total depth in La Salle County, Texas.

PetroQuest Energy is conducting completion operations on the second well and will start completion operations on the third well during the fourth quarter of 2011.

PetroQuest Energy Reports On First Two Eagle Ford Shale Wells

PetroQuest Energy (PQ) reported an update on the company’s initial operated wells in the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas.  The company has 1,600 net acres in La Salle and Dimmit County.

PetroQuest Energy reported that the company’s first operated well drilled in Dimmit County reached total depth in May 2011 and is expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2011.

PetroQuest Energy also has spud its second operated horizontal well located in La Salle County.  The company plans a three well drilling program in 2011, and estimates that it has a total of sixteen drilling locations on its Eagle Ford Shale acreage.
