Carrizo Oil and Gas (CRZO) reported the completion of two horizontal wells drilled into the Eagle Ford Shale on the company’s acreage in La Salle County, Texas.
The Mumme Ranch 10H produced at a 24 hour initial production rate of 1,011 barrels of oil per day. This Eagle Ford Shale was drilled with a 5,493 foot lateral and completed with 15 hydraulic fracturing stages.
The Mumme Ranch 12H produced at a 24 hour initial production rate of 1,220 barrels of oil per day. This Eagle Ford Shale was drilled with a 5,455 foot lateral and completed with 19 hydraulic fracturing stages.
Carrizo Oil and Gas said that the company has finished completion operations on the Pierce 10H well, the company’s third well into the Eagle Ford Shale. The company expects results before the end of the year. Carrizo Oil and Gas has also drilled two other Eagle Ford Shale wells that are waiting on completion.
Carrizo Oil and Gas has 20,000 net acres under lease that is prospective for the Eagle Ford Shale. This acreage is located mostly in La Salle, Dimmit, and McMullen Counties.
