Petrohawk Energy Completes Five Eagle Ford Shale Wells At Black Hawk Project

Petrohawk Energy (HK) released the completion results of five Eagle Ford Shale wells drilled at the company’s Black Hawk prospect in DeWitt County, Texas. The well names and production rates are below. Petrohawk Energy converts natural gas at a 12 to 1 ratio.

The Krause #1H well produced at an initial production rate of 16.9 million cubic feet equivalent per day, composed of 3.1 million cubic feet per day of natural gas, and 1150 barrels per day of condensate.

The Lanik #1H well produced at an initial production rate of 13.9 million cubic feet equivalent per day, composed of 2.9 million cubic feet per day of natural gas, and 921 barrels per day of condensate.

The Kickendahl #1H produced at an initial production rate of 13 million cubic feet equivalent per day, composed of 3.6 million cubic feet per day of natural gas, and 780 barrels per day of condensate.

The Krause B #1H well produced at an initial production rate of 14 million cubic feet equivalent per day, composed of 2.3 million cubic feet per day of natural gas, and 974 barrels per day of condensate.

The Oliver A #1H well produced at an initial production rate of 13.2 million cubic feet equivalent per day, composed of 2.4 million cubic feet per day of natural gas, and 900 barrels per day of condensate.

Petrohawk Energy Reports Eagle Ford Shale Completion

Petrohawk Energy (HK) announced the completion of its second well at the Black Hawk prospect in DeWitt County, Texas. The company said that the Lanik #1H had an initial production rate of 2.7 million cubic feet per day of natural gas and 930 barrels per day of oil.

The first successful well at the Black Hawk prospect was the Krause #1H, which had an initial production rate of 3.3 million cubic feet per day of natural gas, and 1,150 barrels of condensate per day.

The Krause #1H well averaged 3 million cubic feet per day of natural gas and 960 barrels of condensate per day for the first 30 days of production.

Petrohawk Energy Updates Operations In Eagle Ford Shale - Black Hawk Prospect

Petrohawk Energy (HK) is presenting today at the Howard Weil conference in New Orleans, and the company has updated its operations in the Black Hawk prospect in the Eagle Ford Shale.

Petrohawk Energy said that it now has 53,000 net acres under lease in the Black Hawk prospect, which is located in DeWitt County in Texas. The company estimates that its drilling and completion costs will be approximately $6.5 million per well in this part of the Eagle Ford Shale.

Petrohawk Energy reported the results of the Krause #1H well, which was completed with a 3,025 foot lateral and a 12 stage hydraulic fracturing operation. The well had an initial production rate of 3.3 million cubic feet per day of natural gas, and 1,150 barrels of condensate per day. The Krause #1H well averaged 3 million cubic feet per day of natural gas and 960 barrels of condensate per day for the first 30 days of operation.

Petrohawk Energy is currently completing the Lanik #1-H well, also in the Black Hawk prospect in the Eagle Ford Shale.
