Sanchez Energy Reports Two Eagle Ford Shale Completions

Sanchez Energy Corporation (SN) reported the completion of two recent wells drilled into the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas.  The company has 91,000 net acres with 750 net drilling locations exposed to this play.

Sanchez Energy Corporation reported that the Barnhart #5H well had average production of 1,318 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day during the first 30 days of production.  The well was drilled with a 5,991 foot lateral and a 17 stage hydraulic fracturing operation.

Sanchez Energy Corporation reported that the Barnhart #6H well had average production of 1,235 BOE per day during the first 30 days of production.  The well was drilled with a 5,998 foot lateral and an 18 stage hydraulic fracturing operation.

Both wells are located at the Palmetto project area in Gonzalez County, Texas.

EOG Resources Reports Eagle Ford Shale Wells In Gonzales County

EOG Resources (EOG) issued a third quarter of 2011 update on its operations in the Eagle Ford Shale and disclosed the following production rates on recent wells drilled in Gonzales County, Texas.

Mitchell Unit #1H – 2,821 barrels of oil and 2.8 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.

Mitchell Unit #2H- 3,090 barrels of oil and 2.9 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.

Meyer Unit #1H – 2,372 barrels of oil and 1.8 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.

Meyer Unit #2H – 1,600 barrels of oil and 2.2 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.

Meyer Unit #6H - 2,918 barrels of oil and 2.7 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.

EOG Resources reported that six Eagle Ford Shale wells in the Kerner Carson Unit had initial production rates ranging from 1,580 to 2,239 barrels of oil per day. These wells also produced from 1.2 million to 1.9 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.

Magnum Hunter Resources Reports Two Eagle Ford Shale Well Results

Magnum Hunter Resources (MHR) issued an operational update on the company’s South Texas oil and gas activity.  The company has 51,664 gross acres prospective for the Eagle Ford Shale in Gonzales and Lavaca Counties.

Magnum Hunter Resources has put two Eagle Ford Shale wells onto production in September 2011 and disclosed the following details on the wells:

Oryx Hunter #1H - initial flowing production rate of 2,044 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day, composed of 1,944 barrels of oil and 600,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day.

Sable Hunter #1H - initial twenty four hour production rate of 1,017 BOE per day, composed of 921 barrels of oil and 581,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day.

Magnum Hunter Resources has seven other Eagle Ford Shale wells either drilling or getting prepared for drilling. These wells are the Furrh #2H, Kudu Hunter #1H, Snipe Hunter #1H, Gonzo North #2H, Shiner Hunter #1H, Southern Hunter #2H and the Shiner Hunter #2H.
