Carrizo Oil and Gas - Eagle Ford Shale Summary

Carrizo Oil and Gas (CRZO) has drilled and completed five wells into the Eagle Ford Shale to date on its acreage in La Salle County.  The names and 24 hour initial production rates are as follows:

Bear Clause 10-H – 815 barrels of oil

Mumme 10-H – 1,011 barrels of oil

Pierce 10-H – 1,035 barrels of oil

Mumme 12-H – 1,220 barrels of oil

Mumme 20-H – 735 barrels of oil

Carrizo Oil and Gas is currently drilling the Mumme 30-H, Mumme 31-H and Mumme 32- H Eagle Ford Shale wells.

Carrizo Oil and Gas Reports Completion Of Mumme 20H Eagle Ford Shale Well

Carrizo Oil and Gas (CRZO) issued an operations update on its properties in Texas that are prospective for the Eagle Ford Shale. 

Carrizo Oil and Gas reported that the Mumme 20H well started production in January 2011, and had a peak twenty hour gross production rate of 760 barrels of oil per day, and 950,000 cubic feet per day of natural gas.  During the most recent week of production, the Mumme 20H well produced at a net rate of 344 barrels of oil per day, and 634,000 cubic feet per day of natural gas.

Carrizo Oil and Gas said that this Eagle Ford Shale well is being produced under a restrained choke, and is located in LaSalle County, Texas.

Carrizo Oil and Gas is currently completing the Bear Clause 10H well and plans to move a rig into the Eagle Ford Shale in March 2011 to conduct further drilling.

Carrizo Oil and Gas Reports Pierce 10-H Well - Eagle Ford Shale Completion

Carrizo Oil and Gas (CRZO) reported the completion of a horizontal well drilled into the Eagle Ford Shale on the company’s acreage in La Salle County, Texas. This was the company’s third horizontal well reported in the Eagle Ford Shale.

The Pierce 10H well produced 1,035 barrels of oil and 3,085 thousand cubic feet per day of natural gas.  The company said that this Eagle Ford Shale well had a high BTU liquids content.
