Rosetta Resources (ROSE) released an operational update on its activities in the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas.
Rosetta Resources has increased its acreage in the Eagle Ford Shale near the Gates Ranch area, and now has 29,500 acres under net lease there. This brings the total amount of acreage under net lease in the Eagle Ford Shale to 61,000.
Rosetta Resources is currently operating two rigs in the Eagle Ford Shale and plans on drilling between 25 and 30 wells in 2010. The company said that using 80-acre spacing it has 350 locations in the Gates Ranch area that are prospective for the Eagle Ford Shale.
