Cabot Oil and Gas (COG) released an update on the company’s operations in Texas where it is developing the Eagle Ford Shale.
Cabot Oil and Gas is active in the Buckhorn area of the Eagle Ford Shale and completed nine wells during the third quarter of 2011, bringing the company’s total to twenty one producing wells. The company reported initial production rates averaging 628 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day, and thirty day average production rates of 500 BOE per day.
Cabot Oil and Gas reported an average lateral length of 5,000 feet and sixteen hydraulic fracturing stages at Buckhorn wells. The company has three other wells in various stages of completion.
