Rosetta Resources Moves Forward On Eagle Ford Shale Program During First Quarter Of 2011

Rosetta Resources (ROSE) reported on its Eagle Ford Shale development activity during the first quarter of 2011.  The company is putting 90% of its 2011 capital budget into the Eagle Ford Shale and plans to drill forty wells here in 2011.

Rosetta Resources completed nine wells, and reported production of 89 million cubic feet of natural gas equivalents per day during the first quarter of 2011.  As of 5/1/2011, production from the Eagle Ford Shale was 120 million cubic feet of natural gas equivalents per day.

Rosetta Resources has completed 31 wells since entering the play and is operating three rigs.  The company is planning to drill between ten and twelve horizontal wells during the second quarter of 2011.

Petrohawk Energy - Eagle Ford Shale - Q1 2011 Update

Petrohawk Energy (HK) reported an update on its oil and gas development activity in the Eagle Ford Shale during the first quarter of 2011. 

Petrohawk Energy is currently operating 14 rigs in the Eagle Ford Shale and expects to maintain that level for the balance of the year with five rigs in Hawkville Field and 9 rigs in the Black Hawk area. The Company drilled 25 operated and 3 non-operated wells total in the Eagle Ford during the first quarter.

Petrohawk Energy reported net production during the first quarter of 2011 of 156 million cubic feet of natural gas equivalents per day.  This Eagle Ford Shale production was composed of 7,500 barrels of oil, 5,900 barrels of natural gas liquids and 76 million cubic feet per day of natural gas.

Carrizo Oil and Gas - Eagle Ford Shale Summary

Carrizo Oil and Gas (CRZO) has drilled and completed five wells into the Eagle Ford Shale to date on its acreage in La Salle County.  The names and 24 hour initial production rates are as follows:

Bear Clause 10-H – 815 barrels of oil

Mumme 10-H – 1,011 barrels of oil

Pierce 10-H – 1,035 barrels of oil

Mumme 12-H – 1,220 barrels of oil

Mumme 20-H – 735 barrels of oil

Carrizo Oil and Gas is currently drilling the Mumme 30-H, Mumme 31-H and Mumme 32- H Eagle Ford Shale wells.
