Carrizo Oil and Gas Reports Completion Of Mumme 20H Eagle Ford Shale Well

Carrizo Oil and Gas (CRZO) issued an operations update on its properties in Texas that are prospective for the Eagle Ford Shale. 

Carrizo Oil and Gas reported that the Mumme 20H well started production in January 2011, and had a peak twenty hour gross production rate of 760 barrels of oil per day, and 950,000 cubic feet per day of natural gas.  During the most recent week of production, the Mumme 20H well produced at a net rate of 344 barrels of oil per day, and 634,000 cubic feet per day of natural gas.

Carrizo Oil and Gas said that this Eagle Ford Shale well is being produced under a restrained choke, and is located in LaSalle County, Texas.

Carrizo Oil and Gas is currently completing the Bear Clause 10H well and plans to move a rig into the Eagle Ford Shale in March 2011 to conduct further drilling.

U.S. Energy Corp. And Crimson Exploration Enter Joint Venture Agreement In The Eagle Ford Shale

U.S. Energy Corp. (USEG) entered into a joint venture agreement with Crimson Exploration (CXPO) to develop acreage prospective for the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas.

U.S. Energy Corp. can earn up to a 30% working interest in 4,675 gross acres or 1,402.5 net acres, all of which is located in Zavala County, Texas.   The company agreed to pay a cash fee up front and a future drilling carry on the Eagle Ford Shale acreage.

U.S. Energy Corp. said that the first well will be drilled in the second quarter of 2011, and the results of this well will be evaluated to determine a 2012 development program.  The company estimates that it has 26 gross or 7.8 net Eagle Ford Shale drilling locations on the acreage.

Abraxas Petroleum Reports Production For The T Bird 1H - First Eagle Ford Shale Well

Abraxas Petroleum Corporation (AXAS) reported the completion of its first well into the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas.  The company has 8,333 net acres in the play and plans to drill four wells here in 2011.

Abraxas Petroleum Corporation said that the T Bird 1H Eagle Ford Shale well produced an average of 5.8 million cubic feet of natural gas and 342 barrels of condensate per day during the first nineteen days under a restricted choke.

The T Bird 1H well was drilled with a 5,700 foot lateral and completed with a fifteen stage hydraulic fracturing operation.  This Eagle Ford Shale well was drilled in DeWitt County, Texas, and was drilled by Blue Eagle Energy, LLC, a joint venture between Abraxas Petroleum and Rock Oil Company, LLC.
