Talisman Energy (TLM) released a capital budget of $1.7 billion for 2011, with approximately $300 million allocated to develop the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas. The company plans to drill 35 net wells and increase its operated rig count from four to eight rigs during the year.
Talisman Energy expects production from the Eagle Ford Shale to average between 55 million and 65 million cubic feet equivalent per day in 2011, with approximately 50% from liquid hydrocarbons.
