Hess Corporation (HES) held a conference call on October 27, 2010, to discuss earnings for the third quarter of 2010. The company made several comments on its activities in the Eagle Ford Shale.
“Let me talk about the Eagle Ford Shale...we are building and have been building a position in the Eagle Ford Shale. We have about 75,000 net acres as we speak under a contract and our plans are to begin drilling in November in the Eagle Ford Shale and if we can get additional acreage we'll expand that position further."
“It's early days in the Eagle Ford Shale I guess what I will say is we are firmly in a condensate window and our plan is to drill six wells starting in November just to being accessing the acreage after that then we will make a decision on how to expand the ramp up after we get those initial six wells drilled.”
