Petrohawk Energy (HK) released earnings for the second quarter of 2010 ending 6/30/2010, and provided an update for investors on the company’s Red Hawk prospect in the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas.
Petrohawk Energy is developing the Red Hawk prospect in Zavala County, Texas. The company reported the completion of the Mustang Ranch C #1H. The well produced at an initial production rate of 355 barrels oil and 40,000 cubic feet per day of natural gas. The company used a 5800 foot lateral and a 20 stage hydraulic fracturing operation.
Petrohawk Energy is installing an artificial lift system for the Mustang Ranch C #1H during August 2010, and will spud its third well at this prospect in the fourth quarter of 2010.
