EOG Resources (EOG) issued an operations update on its activities in the Eagle Ford Shale during the second quarter of 2010. The company holds a 505,000 net acre position in the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas.
EOG Resources is operating five rigs in the play currently, will ramp up to twelve rigs by the end of the year, and will average fourteen rigs in 2011.
EOG Resources reported the results of three wells in the Eagle Ford Shale. The Darlene #2H had an initial production rate of 1,033 barrels of oil per day, and 423,000 cubic feet of natural gas.
The Borgfeld #1H well had an initial production rate of 707 barrels of oil per day, and the Borgfeld #2H well had an initial production rate of 836 barrels of oil per day. Both these Eagle Ford Shale wells are in Wilson County.
