Pioneer Natural Resources Company (PXD) announced the completion of a well drilled to the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas. The Robert Crawley Gas Unit #1 well is located in Live Oak County, and had an initial production rate of 17 million cubic feet per day of natural gas. The well was drilled to a depth of 17,000 feet and completed with a 16 stage hydraulic fracturing operation in a 5400-foot lateral.
Pioneer Natural Resources is looking for a joint venture partner to develop its Eagle Ford Shale acreage. The company is currently operating two rigs in the Eagle Ford Shale and will be targeting wells in DeWitt and Karnes Counties.
