St. Mary Land & Exploration Company (SM) reported three well completions on its acreage in the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas. St. Mary Land & Exploration has 225,000 net acres under lease in the Eagle Ford Shale.
Galvan Ranch 1H
The Galvan Ranch 1H was drilled to a total vertical depth of 8,500 feet and then completed with a 5,000-foot lateral and a 17 stage hydraulic fracturing operation. The well had a seven-day maximum production rate of 8.0 million cubic feet equivalent per day (MMCFED).
Briscoe Apache Ranch 1H
The Briscoe Apache Ranch 1H was drilled to a total vertical depth of 7,900 feet and then completed with a 4,000-foot lateral and a 14 stage hydraulic fracturing operation. The well had a seven-day maximum production rate of 7.1 million cubic feet equivalent per day (MMCFED).
Galvan Ranch 4H
The Galvan Ranch 4H was drilled to a total vertical depth of 9,100 feet and then completed with a 5,000-foot lateral and a 15 stage hydraulic fracturing operation. The well had a seven-day maximum production rate of 7.0 million cubic feet equivalent per day (MMCFED).
St. Mary Land & Exploration Company said that the Galvan Ranch 4H Eagle Ford Shale well had its production curtailed slightly by temporary pipeline limitations.
The company has four upcoming wells to monitor in various stages:
Briscoe G 2H – To be completed in November 2009.
Briscoe B 1H - To be completed in November 2009.
Galvan Ranch 7H – Drilling starts in November 2009.
Briscoe G 3H - Drilling starts in November 2009.
