EOG Resources (EOG) reported earnings for the fourth quarter of 2010 and released additional information on its operations in the Barnett Shale Combo play. The company drilled a total of 230 net wells into this formation in 2010.
EOG Resources reported that it has improved the efficiency of its drilling, which has led to lower costs and higher estimated ultimate recovery per well. The company reported the following Barnett Shale Combo completions:
Ava Unit #1H – 337 barrels of oil and 311,000 thousand cubic feet of natural gas per day.
Ava Unit #2H – 489 barrels of oil and 524,000 thousand cubic feet of natural gas per day.
Hailey Unit #1H - 335 barrels of oil and 207,000 thousand cubic feet of natural gas per day.
Hailey Unit #2H - 320 barrels of oil and 261,000 thousand cubic feet of natural gas per day.
EOG Resources said that these four Barnett Shale Combo wells are located in Montague County, and contain natural gas liquids as well.
