Quicksilver Resources - Barnett Shale Acreage Summary

Quicksilver Resources (KWK) has 155,000 net acres that are prospective for the Barnett Shale and classifies its acreage into four separate areas:

Alliance – 10,000 net acres, with estimated ultimate recovery (EUR) of 4.0 to 4.5 Bcf per well.

Lake Arlington – 5,000 net acres, with EUR of 4.5 to 5.5 Bcf per well.

Southern High BTU – 107,000 net acres, with EUR of 2.25 to 2.5 Bcf per well

Hill County – 33,000 net acres, with EUR of 1.75 to 2 Bcf per well.

Quicksilver Resources plans to drill 40 net wells in 2011, and estimates that production will grow by 20%. The company also plans to add 100 net wells onto production during the year.  

Quicksilver Resources - Barnett Shale Update

Quicksilver Resources Inc. (KWK) issued an operations update on its Barnett Shale activities. The company continues to develop its projects at Alliance and Lake Arlington in the Fort Worth Basin of the Barnett Shale.

Alliance Project

Quicksilver Resources is currently producing 71 million cubic feet (MMcf) per day of natural gas at its Alliance project, with 129 wells producing. The company said that over the last 45 days, 24 new wells have been brought on line, and 24 wells have resumed production.

Lake Arlington

Quicksilver Resources is currently producing 34 million cubic feet (MMcf) per day of natural gas at its Lake Arlington project. Thirty-nine wells are currently producing, and Quicksilver has deferred completion on 39 other wells that have been cased and drilled.
