Brigham Exploration Company (BEXP) reported the completion of another monster sized well on its acreage in the Bakken Shale. The State 36-1 #1H produced 3,807 barrels oil equivalent (BOE) per day during a 24 hour period, consisting of 3,236 barrels of oil per day and 3.42 million cubic feet per day of natural gas.
This Bakken Shale well was completed with a 30 stage hydraulic fracturing operation, and is located on the Rough Rider project area in Williams County, North Dakota.
Brigham Exploration Company has a 16% working interest in the well, which is part of the company’s agreement with U.S. Energy Corp. (USEG). The reported production rate was the highest ever on Brigham Exploration Company’s acreage in the Bakken Shale.
