Continental Resources (CLR) reported operational data for the fourth quarter of 2010 on its properties in Oklahoma, where the company is developing the Anadarko Woodford Shale on its acreage.
Continental Resources reported average production of 1,705 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day from the Anadarko Woodford Shale during the fourth quarter of 2010. This was a 130% increase over the same quarter of 2009, and a 24% sequential increase from the third quarter of 2010.
Continental Resources participated in 16 gross or 8.2 net wells during the fourth quarter of 2010 and reported the completion of the Sprowls 1-14H well in Grady County. The Sprowls 1-14H well had an initial gross production rate of 2.8 million cubic feet of natural gas and 96 barrels of oil per day. The success of this well extends the extent of the southeast portion of the Cana play.
