Continental Resources (CLR) reported on its operations in the Woodford Shale during the second quarter of 2011 including the results of a well that according to the company has extended the play.
Continental Resources said that the Lambakis 1-11H has been on line since May 2011 and was producing 4.2 million cubic feet of natural gas and 110 barrels of oil per day. This well was drilled outside the previously drilled areas of the Southeast Cana Woodford and proves up an additional 15,000 net acres for the company.
Continental Resources reported production of 4,031 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day in the second quarter of 2011, up 50% sequentially. The company participated in completing 28 gross or 9.9 net wells.
Continental Resources has 324,273 net acres net acres under lease in the Woodford Shale, and is operating fourteen rigs here. The company is planning to add rigs here before the end of the year.
