National Fuel Gas Company (NFG) reported the results of two Marcellus Shale wells recently completed in Pennsylvania.
National Fuel Gas Company said that a Marcellus Shale well in Lycoming County on the DCNR Tract 100 produced at a rate of 15.8 million cubic feet per day during a 24-hour test period. The company used a 0.4375 inch choke and according to the National Fuel Gas Company was the highest 24-hour production rate ever reported in the Marcellus Shale.
National Fuel Gas Company said that a Marcellus Shale well in Clearfield County that was operated by EOG Resources (EOG) produced at a rate of 8.9 million cubic feet per day during a 24-hour test period.
National Fuel Gas Company conducts its exploration and production activities through Seneca Resources Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. The company plans to drill eighty Marcellus Shale wells over the next 3 to 4 years in various parts of Pennsylvania.
