Kodiak Oil and Gas (KOG) reported the results of a well completion on the company’s acreage in the Bakken Shale.
The Moccasin Creek #13-34-3H well had a 24-hour initial production rate of 1,517 barrels oil equivalent (BOE) per day, composed of 1,370 barrels of oil and 858,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day.
The Moccasin Creek #13-34-3H well was drilled with a 4,330-foot horizontal lateral, and completed with an 11 stage hydraulic fracturing operation. Kodiak Oil and Gas said that cumulative production during the first 12 days was 10,500 BOE.
Kodiak Oil and Gas has four other wells in the Bakken Shale in various stages of drilling or completion.
