QEP Resources (QEP) updated investors on its exploration and development activity of the Bakken Shale during the first quarter of 2011. The company has 89,000 net acres in the Williston Basin of North Dakota.
QEP Resources reported the completion of two recent wells drilled into the Bakken formation during the first quarter of 2011.
The Fed 1-27H-152-90 well had a peak daily production rate of 1,489 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day. The MHA 2-04-03H-149-90 well had a peak daily production rate of 598 BOE per day.
QEP Resources reported that its net Bakken production during the first quarter of 2011 averaged approximately 1,900 BOE per day. The company has four operated wells waiting on completion and has interests in 16 wells that are either being drilled or waiting on completion.
