QEP Resources (QEP) issued an operations update on its development activities in the Williston Basin where the company is developing the Bakken formation on its acreage in North Dakota. The company has 89,000 net acres under lease.
QEP Resources reported the completion of two wells into the Bakken formation. The MHA 1-29-30H-150-90 well had a peak daily rate of 1,151 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day, and the MHA 1-32-31H-150-90 well had a peak daily rate of 1,459 BOE per day.
QEP Resources is operating two rigs on its Bakken acreage and plans to add a third in mid 2011. QEP Resources has three operated wells waiting on completion, and reported average daily production of 2,700 BOE per day in December 2010.
