Northern Oil and Gas (NOG) reported earnings for the fourth quarter of 2009 and updated its operational activity in the Bakken Shale in North Dakota and Montana. The company is involved in two separate project areas in the Bakken Shale in partnership with Slawson Exploration Company, a private company.
The Windsor Development is located in Mountrail County, North Dakota, and is being developed in partnership with Slawson Exploration Company. The project consists of 60 gross wells, with Northern Oil and Gas having an average working interest of 20% per well. The company has completed 17 of the wells in the program, with another four awaiting completion. The Windsor Development will be completed in 14 months.
Northern Oil and Gas is currently drilling and completing the Mayhem #1-19H well in Roosevelt County, Montana, at its Anvil Project. The company is in partnership with Slawson Exploration Company and has 12,500 net acres and an average working interest of 30% here prospective for the Bakken Shale.
