Newfield Exploration Company (NFX) issued an operations update on its activities in the Williston Basin, where the company has acreage prospective for the Bakken formation. The company reported the completion of ten recent wells here. The names of the wells, the initial production rates and thirty day average production rates in barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) are listed below. If there is no second number, the well has less than 30 days of production history.
Bluefin 1-13H – Initial production of 2,497 BOE – Average of 526 BOE per day during first 30 days
Gladys Federal 2-9H - 3,631 BOE - 1,231 BOE
Clear Creek Federal 1-25H - 2,360 BOE – 647 BOE
Harold 1-31H - 2,194 BOE - 689 BOE
Wahus 1-12H - 2,293 BOE – 677 BOE
Megamouth 1-8H – 2,519 BOE – 683 BOE
Clear Creek Federal 1-26H - 2,922 BOE
Dahl 1-5H – 1,532 BOE
Sawfish 1-1H - 1,841 BOE
Ursus 1-20H - 2,114 BOE
Newfield Exploration Company said that these Bakken wells were drilled with lateral lengths ranging from 3900 to 4400 feet, and completed with 16 to 18 hydraulic fracturing stages.
