Brigham Exploration Company (BEXP) reported the production rate of a successful well in Montana completed into the Bakken formation.
Brigham Exploration Company said that the Gobbs 17-8 #1H well produced at a 24-hour peak rate of approximately 1,818 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE). This production was composed of 1,544 barrels of oil and 1.64 million cubic feet of natural gas. The Gobbs 17-8 #1H well underwent a 36 stage hydraulic fracturing operation.
Brigham Exploration Company plans to complete four other Bakken wells on its acreage in Montana over the next few months. The company estimates that in June 2011, the company will bring 10 gross, or 5.8 net Bakken wells onto production.
