Brigham Exploration (BEXP) reported the completion of two wells drilled into the Bakken formation on its leasehold in Montana. The company believes that it has now derisked 33,500 net acres for the Bakken on its Montana leasehold.
Storvik 7-6 #1H - Richland County – 24 hour peak rate of 2,066 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day composed of 1,857 barrels of oil and 1.26 million cubic feet of natural gas. The Storvik 7-6 #1H had a 34 stage hydraulic fracturing operation.
Charley 10-15 #1H - Roosevelt County - 24 hour peak rate of 1,069 BOE per day, composed of 917 barrels of oil and 910,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. The Charley 10-15 #1H had a 36 stage hydraulic fracturing operation.
Brigham Exploration said that the Beck 15-10 #1H in Roosevelt County is undergoing completion operations. The company is currently drilling the Glenn 28-33 #1H Bakken well in Richland County.
Brigham Exploration is re drilling the horizontal portion of the State Hardy 31-16H well and expects to drill four more Bakken wells in Montana in 2011.
