Continental Resources (CLR) issued an operations update on its development activities in the Williston Basin where the company is developing the Bakken formation.
Continental Resources reported that the company had average daily production of 20,160 barrels of oil per day from its Bakken properties during the third quarter of 2010. This represented 45% of the company’s total production during the quarter, and was a 50% increase over the third quarter of 2009.
North Dakota Operations (Third quarter of 2010)
- 103% increase in production over the third quarter of 2009.
- Average initial production rate of 1,011 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day.
- Completed 53 gross, or 19.3 net wells. (both operated and non operated)
- 20 operated rigs and 620,620 net acres under lease.
Continental Resources finished completing its first multi well pad with wells targeting the Bakken and Three Forks formation:
Hegler 1-13H – Three Forks – 1,195 BOE per day
Hegler 2-13H – Bakken – 1,203 BOE per day
Arthur 1-12H – Three Forks – 849 BOE per day
Arthur 2-12H – Bakken – 1,103 BOE per day
